Gates by Design utilizes a state of the art CAD system. The production process for Gates by Design products begins with a conceptual design developed with the customer which is then converted to a shop drawing. The shop drawing provides all dimensional information as well as the gate frame design, type of inset cast panels and all additional hardware including hinges, side frames, latches, handles, ground anchors and any required additional components for operator connection. This shop drawing is then sent to the factory where gate fabrication begins.
The castings are then selected by the factory and the number of required panel elements are cast. At the same time the perimeter frame is carefully cut to size, assembled and welded. The cast inset panels are then welded into the perimeter aluminum frame. The welds are carefully hand ground and sanded. All perimeter hardware is finally added including hinges, latches, handles and ground anchors.
A quality control engineer inspects each project at every step of production for compliance with the shop drawing. Once the gate is fully assembled, it is prepped and cleaned for a factory-applied, four-coat acrylic paint finish. After the paint cures, the gate or fence panel is carefully wrapped and packed into crates for container shipment to the Exquisite Gate Co. warehouse in Phoenix, Arizona. Upon final inspection, the gate or fence panels are forwarded to their final destination.
Gates by Design CAD Engineers, fine tunes a gate design before forwarding it to the factory.
1. Molten aluminum is poured in to molds.
2. Grinding adds a smooth touch.
3. Filing work catches all the small details.
4. Sanding is done just before painting.
5. Painting gates to exact specs is not a tall order.
6. An on-site installation of a large fencing job.
